What’s Cool About This Job
As a Payroll Specialist on the Accounting Team, you’ll be an integral part of WEKA’s payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing US payroll, preparing journal entries, and leading projects. This role will collaborate closely with the Benefits, HRIS, People Ops, and accounting teams to ensure seamless coordination across various functions. This role will be responsible for managing payroll for employees in the USA, as well as employees across multiple countries through a third-party provider.

Responsibilities include:
- Submitting timely payroll reports, including salary, expense reimbursement, commissions, bonuses, and on-call payments.
- Monitoring and analyzing expenses against the payroll budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets.
- Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
- Responsible for approval workflows, by following accounting controls.
- Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered.
- Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
- 3 or more years of experience in an Accounting related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Experience with an ERP.(Netsuite Experience a plus).
- Sequoia One PEO and Deel EOR experience a plus.
- Expensify experience a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
USA Residents Only: The compensation range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $65,000 - $130,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Flexible Time off (FTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws.
