What's Cool About This Job
As an Integration Engineer at Weka.IO, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality and excellence of our world class enterprise products. You’ll be part of an agile development team, working side by side with the team’s developers to execute manual tests and track quality assurance metrics to ensure product quality. You will also be responsible for assuring stable products with delightful usability.
As QA Integration Engineer, you’ll:
- Work with product management and development teams to define use cases and acceptance testing criteria.
- Develop, execute and maintain component, integration, regression, performance, stability and scalability tests.
- Identify product issues, write detailed bug reports and track project quality metrics.
- Act as a QA focal point who understands the terminology, weak points of the system, involved with protocols, configurations, architecture, and practicalities in the industry of storage technology.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in Linux/UNIX computing environments. - Must
- Testing experience of more then 7 years - Must
- Testing the complete storage solution. Customer support experience or working on customer escalations highly desired - Must
- Storage protocols (NAS), work with data storage concepts such as RAID, Snapshot, and file systems; designing, developing, executing, and maintaining test cases and procedures - Must
- Hands-on experience in functional, system, performance and integration testing - Must
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of deployment, setup and configuration of complex systems products. (storage domain will be highly preferred). - Advantage
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer science or engineering related field - Advantage
- Should be familiar with any of the public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMWare) - Advantage
- Understanding of Networking, Firewalls, IPv4/IPv6, etc. - Advantage
- Well versed with set up and configurations of operating systems. - Advantage
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience with white‐box and black‐box testing methodologies.
- Strong team player with good communication skills and should be self-starter
- Strong sense of customer empathy acting as catalyst and champion for quality.
- Ability to prioritize defects and determine risk based on objective, metrics based data.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in Shell programming language and Python.
