What you'll be doing:
As a DevOps Engineer at Weka.IO, you play a critical role in ensuring the responsibility for building and setting up infrastructure utilizing knowledge in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD), Cloud technologies.
As a DevOps certification engineer, you’ll:
Job responsibilities:
- System Design and Architecture :
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Engineering to identify certification requirements and methods of compliance
- Deployment and Management :
- Deploy and manage required setup, ensuring they are secure, robust, and optimized for performance.
- Develop and maintain the Certification Plan, Compliance Checklist.
- Monitoring and Logging :
- To ensure visibility into system health and performance.
- Monitor alerts and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Performance Optimization :
- Analyse system performance and conduct tuning exercises to improve efficiency.
- Incident Management and Troubleshooting :
- Lead incident response efforts to quickly resolve outages and service interruptions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Security and Compliance :
- Implement security best practices in Physical and cloud environments, including secrets management and network policies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
- Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery and updates.
- Continuous Improvement :
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Physical and cloud technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes, tools, and systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Documentation :
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure that operational documents are up-to-date for use by the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer science or engineering related field and 5-10 years of DevOps Engineer. - Must
Knowledge of Server, OS, NIC, Drive, OBS Certifications. Customer support experience or working on customer escalations highly desired - Must
Should be familiar with any of the public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMWare) - Must
Understanding of Networking, Firewalls, IPv4/IPv6, etc. - Must
Knowledge and hands-on experience of deployment, setup and configuration of complex systems products. (storage domain will be highly preferred). - Must
Well versed with set up and configurations of operating systems. - Must
Strong knowledge in in Linux/UNIX computing environments. - Must
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong team player with good communication skills and should be self-starter
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in Shell/Python programming language - Must
