As WEKA.io continues to scale, we’re looking for an extraordinary VP, Information Technology to lead and optimize our global enterprise applications, technology infrastructure, and procurement initiatives.
In this strategic leadership position, you will work closely with our executive team to align technology initiatives with business objectives, enabling operational efficiency, cost savings, and continuous innovation. You’ll manage IT systems, drive digital transformation, and oversee procurement to ensure we make the best use of resources, both internally and externally.
Bring Your Expertise – and Your Passion
The VP, Information Technology loves to show business impact from improvement in systems and processes. You will partner across all departments on enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, and security initiatives and will report directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver a holistic strategy around Weka’s enterprise-wide business systems technology portfolio that creates value by enabling scale, improving productivity and reducing spend.
- Ensure technology is current and supports future business growth - build a roadmap that will scale with us over the next 3-5 years; set priorities and sequence for company portfolios and projects.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of Weka’s systems; this includes management of enterprise architecture, business applications, IT security and risk, infrastructure, and operations support.
- Serve as a trusted advisor; build and maintain relationships with other executives to understand business needs, and enable cost-effective delivery of services and innovative shared solutions.
- Stay up to date on changing business priorities and respond with agility.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to Executives, the Board of Directors and the Advisory Committees.
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction
- Build, grow and maintain a workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge and technical skills required to achieve business objectives; ensure the core functions are reliable, stable and efficient.
- Oversee and control the annual operating and capital budgets to ensure consistency with strategic objectives and priorities of the plan.
- Negotiate large capital purchases
Desired Qualifications
- A strategic technology leader with 15+ years of information services experience, with 7+ years in technology leadership; experience leading multi-disciplined teams within a B2B/Enterprise Technology company is required; SaaS experience is a plus
- Proven track record of roadmapping and executing on an enterprise-wide technology portfolio strategy that creates value for the business via improved productivity and decreased spend
- Expertise with Information Security and Privacy practices; experienced with IT security, governance, risk and compliance of applications and product network
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Ability to set a vision and inspire and motivate teams; can drive organizational change within and beyond functions
- Experienced delivering swiftly against deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Stays up-to-date on knowledge and understanding of new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology to business leaders, Board members, and others not immersed within the technology world.
