Director, Global Strategy and Operations

What’s Cool About This Job?
The Business Strategy and Operations leader will unify teams across WEKA’s global functions to enable our GTM organization to execute efficiently at scale. This role involves refining people, processes, and tools while working effectively across organizational lines. You will bring exceptional business judgment and a strong bias for action to guide cross-functional efforts that drive impactful projects and align operations with WEKA's strategic objectives.
This role will include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), reporting (e.g. global data standards and dashboards) and communications.
Responsibilities Include:
Building and Leading a Global Team:
- Hands-on leadership and career development of a global team of business and data analysts.
- Provide strategic guidance on business process architecture and technology roadmaps while actively engaging in day-to-day operations and analysis.
- Build scalable processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting that align with company goals and drive efficiency.
- Ensure the team delivers actionable business insights and data-driven reporting to support decision-making across the GTM organization.
Outcomes:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define problem statements, project scope, and strategic goals.
- Define and develop OKRs and leading indicators of business performance to understand trends, and proactively identify areas of opportunity and risk.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations leadership to execute strategic goals and initiatives.
- Support annual planning and contribute to short- and long-term growth plans.
- Build a scalable platform to monitor market intelligence, customer trends, and competitor behavior.
- Drive competitive intelligence and strategy within core industry verticals, delivering quarterly market insights to influence GTM and product strategies.
- Create and deliver presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, through visual displays of quantitative information/insights.
- Identify gaps and optimization opportunities across our GTM divisions using quantitative and qualitative insights to then define, drive and execute on the strategic solutioning.
- Manage cross-functional communications, training, and enablement efforts across the GTM organization and beyond as appropriate.
- Create and deliver insights through presentations and data visualizations to stakeholders at various levels.
- Own and constantly evaluate and optimize th end to end GTM technology stack.
- Lead AI initiatives related to GTM strategies to improve efficiency and ROI.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in sales operations, business strategy and operations, management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 4 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
- Experience in high growth Enterprise software, SaaS or storage industry.
- Experience leading transformation projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to take ambiguous topics and turn them into compelling narratives for different audiences.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
