Director of IT

About The Position

WEKA is architecting a new approach to the enterprise data stack built for the AI era. The WEKA® Data Platform sets the standard for AI infrastructure with a cloud and AI-native software solution that can be deployed anywhere. It transforms legacy data silos into data pipelines that make GPUs, AI, and other performance-intensive workloads run faster, work more efficiently, and consume less energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuous IT access and full support for all WEKA employees (currently 400 and growing) across all organizational systems and tools.
  • Oversee procurement, management, and security of employee endpoints (laptops).
  • Manage company-wide services including conferencing, document management, email, and chat.
  • Establish and enforce mobile device usage guidelines.
  • Provide IT support for functional administrators of WEKA’s growing SAAS systems (currently 130+).
  • Manage identities for all WEKA employees, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Advise on, approve, and enforce security guidelines and IT policies.
  • Lead IT compliance efforts, including GDPR and ISO27001 certification renewals.
  • Oversee IT and data security for WEKA, promoting security awareness and approving SaaS applications.
  • Collaborate with the product security team to strengthen IT security measures.
  • Oversee vendor and supplier IT security commitments.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience owning IT operations in a company of similar scale and complexity, or equivalent experience as a senior IT staff member in a large organization.
  • Proven experience managing a global IT support help desk with 24/7 availability, catering to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Expertise in managing company-wide business operations infrastructure, including email, identity management, and chat.

Preferred:

  • Experience in cloud security and SOC/IT compliance processes.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
  • Experience supporting a global workforce and IT systems.

 
USA Residents Only:
The Total Compensation hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $250,000-300,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Flexible Time off (FTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws.
