At WEKA, we have a high performance down cold. This role is ultra focused on delighting customers with our expanding capabilities in AWS. Join our cutting-edge Product Management team as a Senior Technical Product Manager (AWS), where your efforts will lead to delighting customers with simplified onboarding and day-2 experience as it relates to WEKA in AWS for AI, GenAI, HPC use cases. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of technology, contributing to the success of customers who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible with a high performance data platform. Bring Your Expertise – and Your Passion
Your domain knowledge is pan-industry, covering all things AWS at the intersection of customers data. Important factors leading to your success include:
Expertise:
You have proven AWS (and preferably data storage) experience as a Product Manager, Technical Marketing Engineer, or a Solutions Architect, with a technical understanding of AWS Infrastructure services such as compute (EC2, ECS, EKS), networking, security, storage, etc. in the context of AI/GenAI/HPC deployments. Complementary Terraform and/or CloudFormation knowledge is also highly desirable.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership skills with a history of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ability to inspire and motivate individuals across teams to achieve ambitious goals while maintaining a collaborative and positive working environment.
Strategic Vision:
A strategic thinker who can develop and execute technical product integration roadmap that align with customer needs. Proven ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans and deliver results, leading to the customer success with WEKA in AWS.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience presenting product strategies and roadmaps to internal teams and external customers.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain knowledge about the market trends and roadmap related to AWS infrastructure and AI/GenAI/HPC services to help influence WEKA product and solutions roadmap.
- Maintain deep understanding of the popular AWS Reference Architectures as it relates to compute (virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, serverless), networking, security, storage, and data management for the AI, GenAI, and HPC services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, ParallelCluster, etc.
- Develop WEKA in AWS roadmap as it relates to product interoperability, integrations, and joint solutions. This includes developing detailed and prioritized requirements.
- Work with the WEKA engineering to clearly articulate AWS integration requirements and track the commitments to final delivery.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Customer Success on customer engagements and help remove product related friction. Taking ownership of WEKA’s success in AWS is a key requirement.
- Develop technical demos, reference architectures, deployment guides, and sales enablement content that showcase WEKA best practices in AWS.
Desired Qualifications
This role requires a strong foundation in both written and verbal communication, especially within a technical context. Key qualifications include:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in either product management, technical marketing, or field SA (preferably at AWS or their ecosystem) with a focus on AWS services, Terraform, and preferably data storage.
- Hands on AWS knowledge, and having AWS SA certifications are a big plus.
- Basic Kubernetes knowledge is a requirement, and advanced knowledge is a big plus.
- Technical aptitude and understanding of file and object access protocols, and multi-protocol data and storage solutions
- Proven ability to take ownership of working with engineering leaderships and individuals to ensure the product features/functionality development is progressing per the roadmap asks, and resolving any conflicts and bottlenecks.
- Experience with competitive analysis for your focus product/solution.
- Experience enabling technical sellers, services, support, product marketing, etc. with the right content and enablement workshops, webinars, etc.
- Self driven and executor that tries hard to remove roadblocks before involving manager
- BA/BS required, in Computer Science or related technical degree preferred
